ORDER:
Based on the recommendations of
Pay Revision Commission, 2005 orders were issued in the Government order first
read above, to the effect that an employee holding a post to which rent free
accommodation is admissible and who is not provided with such accommodation,
shall be eligible to draw Additional House Rent Allowance at 8% of the basic
pay subject to a maximum of Rs.500/- per month.
2. Based on the recommendations of the One Man Committee in the
Government order second and third read above, orders were issued to continue
the Additional House Rent Allowance in lieu of rent free accommodation to be
applicable to all those employees working in Scheduled Areas on par with the
employees working outside the Scheduled Areas.
3. Based on the recommendations of the Ninth Pay Revision
Commission, orders were issued implementing the R.P.S. 2010 to the State
Government Employees in the reference 4th read above. Accordingly, orders were issued in the
reference 5th read above, to continue the Additional House Rent
Allowance @ 8% of basic pay of the employee under the RPS 2010, subject to a
maximum of Rs.1,000/- per month in cases where rent free accommodation could
not be provided by the Government to the employees holding the posts to which
rent free accommodation shall be provided by Government as per rules
4. Among others, the Tenth Pay Revision Commission has reviewed
the Additional House Rent Allowance and recommended to continue to pay the said
allowance at 8% of the basic pay subject to a maximum of Rs.2,000/- per month.
5. Government have decided to accept the recommendation of Tenth
Pay
Revision Commission and hereby
order that Additional House Rent Allowance, shall be payable at 8% of the basic
pay of the employee under the Revised Pay Scales, 2014, subject to a maximum of
Rs.2,000/- per month in cases where rent free accommodation could not be
provided by the Government to the employees holding the posts to which rent
free accommodation shall be provided by Government as per rules.
6. The above benefit of enhancement in para 5 is not available
for those employees eligible for Additional H.R.A. and who opt to continue to
draw pay in Revised Pay Scales, 2010 or Revised U.G.C. Pay Scales, 2010. They
shall continue to draw Additional H.R.A. as per G.O. 1st read above.
7. These orders shall come into force with effect from 01.12.2015.
8. Necessary Amendments to Andhra Pradesh Public Employment
(House Rent Allowance) Rules, 1988 and Manual of Special Pays and Allowances
shall be issued in due course.
